The key takeaway here is that I'm not sure why I thought Leaf Burning would work with Fediel 1. Given that it only stays up for a couple of turns, it was hardly worth the subskill slot for 20% unique attack when Zechariah covers the defense half already. Being able to cast it while waiting Langelaan for a few guaranteed turns of stacking helps a bit since I sure as hell wasn't counting them, and there's enough meter that the low shield value making it easier for MC to lose her Fediel buff isn't much of an issue, but it's still annoying for the two to clash like that.
I did remember to hold off on pushing into 50% this time so that Lich wouldn't gib herself.
I can't tell if the combination of attack down and extra defense up made much of an impact; in theory Fediel's shield should be a bit sturdier with the extra passive mitigation, but if it were the case it didn't feel like it was of a noteworthy magnitude, and probably didn't stack up to cycling ougis faster to FC more frequently.
