To tell you, the visuals are looking great. The 3D models are looking more like 2.5D. However, this game suffers from framedrops, even outside the stage. According to a friend of mine it might be because indeed of the visuals. The amount of visual effects placed on the characters, background and the stages might be causing the framedrops.
Also, this is captured on an OG PS4, I know the hardware is old. But they made this game first and foremost for the PS4. Surely they must know it should work on an OG PS4 as well. I just hope this demo is just badly optimized and that they will work on that. An IM@S game just can't be lower than 60fps, it's just awful. Rhythm games not on 60fps are just not gonna cut it. XD
The positive thing? Even though the demo was this short, I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay. If they are gonna add all things like photo mode and stuff, please optimize it so it doesn't look awful with framedrops. You can see the fps spike during the Omoide Appeals when the background turns white. With nothing in the background it runs fine.
