Trying to play FFXIV: A Realm Reborn/Heavensward on the Linux Ubuntu operating system (Ubuntu version 14.04). Due to graphical issues caused by occlusion culling, the game is virtually unplayable. Disable Occlusion Culling in the System Configuration menu to fix this problem.
Also, there is an issue with menu flickering (seen @ 7:36), which is corrected by adjusting the Full Screen Mode Gamma Correction setting (anything other than 50 eliminates the menu flickering).
There is no audio in this video (the audio played normally when I was playing the game, but I couldn't figure out how to get the video capture program to record the audio).
