My attempt at speedrunning the Version 2.0 portion of Final Fantasy XIV's Main Scenario Quest. This is a single session run from character creation to the end of the Version 2.0 storyline, finishing upon completion of the quest 'The Ultimate Weapon' with all Version 2.0 Paladin job quests done. The run was streamed on Twitch on July 1st, 2018, during Patch 4.31. Timing was done using the in-game /playtime command, ending at 14 hours and 30 minutes.
(The recording has been split in to two parts to comply with Youtube's 12 hour/128GB upload limits. No further editing has been done to the footage. Footage quality may degrade and freeze momentarily throughout the run. This is due to lower end hardware and upload speed but did not affect the run.)
Rules for the run: no Free Companies, no Party Finder, no preformed parties, no unsynced duties, no premium items, Road to 60 server.

As a long-term casual player, I have completed the main scenario quests of Final Fantasy XIV numerous times at varying points in the life cycle of the game. Sometimes to refresh myself on the story, sometimes to get a better idea of the current state of the game and sometimes just for fun. This run is not something that I have optimised and practiced, it was a fun challenge that I set myself. I do not intend to try and improve this run in the future.
