Heyo! Here's Part 32 of my Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Playthrough / Walkthrough / Lets play! I'm ahead of uploads currently so I've been working on a massive compilation of my DMC5 play through lately! Expect that before the end of August!
Last time Y'shtola&Ryne talked to Seosamh about the Light Warden's aether beginning to affect him. He experienced some extreme pain briefly&they told him to rest while they worked on a way to help. Seosamh returned to his room, Ardbert waiting. He asks how it went in Ahm Araeng&Seosamh tells him of the slaying of the Light Warden as well as Minfilia's gift to Ryne&subsequent disappearance. Seosamh suffers the pain from the aether again&Ardbert, out of habit, tries to help him. When Ardbert touches his hand he is stung somehow by the aether. They both realize that Minfilia did say that not even the most valiant hero can stand alone but before Seosamh can say anything else Ardbert dismisses what she said to the both of them&disappears as the Exarch comes knocking. He came to check on Seosamh, who tells him of the pain,&the Exarch offers what aid he can. He then asks Seosamh one more thing; to live, which Seosamh promises to see it through. In his sleep Seosamh sees a vision, possibly from the past of someone searching, seemingly, for him. Was it just a dream?
In the morning he meets with his allies as they plan to visit Kholusia&find the final Light Warden. Y'shtola taunts Emet-Selch about saving The First&he explains they are simply delaying the inevitable. He goes on to explain that before the splitting of the worlds everyone lived as long as the Ascians. Emet-Selch explains that Hydaelyn has the power to "split" anything she targets, meaning that if she were to strike a person they would be "halved" in all meanings, even their intelligence and strength, going on to add that this happened to Zodiark&the world itself. That only three escaped the sundering. Emet-Selch being one. To him, the fourteen worlds are imperfect reflections of his own people. Ultimately his reasoning for the rejoining is not just his desire for his people but that these "imperfects" create violence with every effort whereas their world was a utopia. He ends the conversation, saying to come speak with him after slaying the final Light Warden. Lyna appears, delivering word that Eulmore is preparing for war,&we begin to believe Vauthry is hiding the Light Warden in Eulmore itself. We quickly head to Kholusia&discover the citizens of Eulmore behaving strangely. Kai-Shirr appears, tellings us he has been the one informing the Crystarium on Eulmore's activities to make good on Alphinaud&Seosamh's help. Y'shtola comes from the town, saying she needs to show Ryne the Meol. Ryne is horrified&says that it is Sin Eater flesh, much to the groups' horror. Alphinaud then realizes that the people Vauthry turns into Sin Eaters over time are then turned into Meol to continue the cycle. Vauthry sends his citizens after us as shields. We get past them without lethal force as quickly as possible, Seosamh eventually the only one able to get to the top. He is stopped by Ran'jit&the two clash, Seosamh eventually killing him. The group confronts Vauthry who pays little mind to them until Ryne realizes that HE is the Light Warden. Vauthry explodes in rage about his rule being absolute before calming, saying he can start again. He takes a bite from Sin Eater flesh, Ryne yelling for Thancred to stop him, but it's too late. Vauthry lets out a deafening cry as he sprouts wings&flies to the highest peak. It rises into the sky, out of reach. Alphinaud explains that they need to stop, the mountain is beyond them as of now, and they need to help the people of Eulmore. Ryne believes she may be able to cure them of what has been done&the Scions begin to assist.
If you want to skip it, the intro ends at roughly 1 minute and 45 seconds. It is a longer intro because I did not feel my usual 30-45 second intros would do this justice. And justice demands no less! But here it is - Part 32 of my Shadowbringers Playthrough / Walkthrough / Lets play!
I am hoping to have some friends to full party dungeons during the playthrough but we'll see! I can always try out the new Trust System if need be. So far I've been very much loving the new expansion, and especially the changes to Summoner! What all do you think of the expansion and Patch 5.0 so far? Let me know in the comments below!
