To be fair about Leroy and Fahk. I don’t think they were going for pay2win dlc. I only say this because about half of the completely new characters introduced in each tekken game end up being broken and toned down later/in the next game.

In T7 Shaheen, Kazuumi, Akuma were overwhelming on their arcade release while Chloe, Kat, and Claudio were considered weak or mediocre. It seems like the normal Tekken balance that we’ve seen but in dlc form lol.

Maybe I’m alone on this but even beyond the balance issues I think Leroy’s gameplay turned out pretty underwhelming compared to the superb character concept. I wonder if they felt the need to make Leroy appeal to as many people as possible given the excitement, since it feels like they threw almost everything they could into the character. Given the reveals I was expecting a highly defense-focused character but instead he’s extremely versatile; a jack of all trades (and also a master of them all). Having an orbital is just baffling to me, I don’t think it fits him at all.

Frame, punishment training while sounds good, is actually DOGSHIT.

Being able to test 10 random moves that devs programmed into mode is really killing it. If they just worked 10 hour more and not pushed update out and added "select move from movelist to train" - then punishment mode would be great.

Sadly no content creator actually tried punishment training thingie - so they all praise that mode >_>

Homer: 'the worst season yet...' although I still had a lot of fun with the game... Most of this balance issues luckily really only matter in high rank game play... Except release leroy... He was just terrible

Season 3 had: Leroy SSJ4, Fakhumram SSJ4, Kazuya homing hellsweep and almost no patches due to coronavirus. That was a rough season to say the least.

Very well presented, enjoyed this video a lot. This season started as a trainwreck and only got worse as time went by, and ironically, it's the one we need to wait for longer than usual to disappear.

I really REALLY hope Namco learned their lesson with season 4.
