Button buffers are awesome. i used it for years and its also good for certain throws. button buffers work great for doin Kings throws constantly. and it especially good if u Play GEESE or AKUMA.

Especially useful when doing Marduk's 1,2 Vale tudo cancel combos.

Some people seem to still have trouble understanding what this is.

Buffering and mapping are 2 completely different things, both were introduced in the first Tekken game and have been in every Tekken game since.

Mapping is when you assign a button to a different command than the original input.

Binding is when you map more than one command to a single button (e.g L1=1+3)

Buffering is used when you have a command that involves simultaneous presses. It means holding down one of the buttons already and then tapping another. (Eg Devil Jin CD4, don’t release the 4 and then just tap 1 after the bound for a combo from the 1+4.

Ah, so my little theory was true, I have to hold/buffer the first button before the attack then press the second to get consistent simultaneous inputs, I did struggle to do those press when I tested it in t5 and t6 in emulator (didn't want to risk buying t7 first) muscle memory will surely help.
I am coming from blazblue where all attack moves are direction+1 button press, 2-4 buttons are all system mechanics (barrier block, grabs, rapid cancel, burst) and I think blazblue has more forgiving frame windows means you won't fuck up the buttons.
When I did find the 2 buttons input hard, I have respect for tekken players.

  Also, these 2 button presses do apply in blazblue, example if I get combo'd and I don't know how long the hitstun of the attack I will most likely spam an attack button (or more depending on the players) to tech from it, but the problem is that after teching from the combo I'll most likely do the attack move since I was spamming it and will get whiff punished for that. Now if I hold B button (barrier block input is (←+A+B) I can spam A with no worry since the only thing that will come up is barrier blocking.
  
  I only bind burst input (4 buttons) into 1 button, thankfully they made rapid cancel (3 buttons) works only in specific situation so I don't need to bind it.

I wish they’d get rid of characters like gigas/ jack/panda/kuma barely anyone actually plays as them imo

As far as Tekken not accepting inputs...I think there is a little something to that. There have been several times where I'm messing around in pratice, or playing with friends and I'll hit for example 4, 1...but only the 4 comes out. I hit this string the exact same way every single time. Same tempo, everything. The command history shows I pressed 4 then 1. But no 1 happens on screen. Shit's super annoying.
