1966 Ford Fairlane 428 Upgrades at V8 Speed and Resto Shop V8TV
We’re completing some upgrades and restoration tasks on this 428-powered 1966 Ford Fairlane in the V8 Speed and Resto Shop. The Wimbledon White ‘66 has been partially restored, but there are some remaining details to finish off before this R-code inspired Fairlane is ready to stalk the streets, We thought we’d share an update as we build the car in our latest “What are you in for” video series where we share in-process projects from around the shop!
Ford built just 57 427-powered “R” code 1966 Fairlanes, so obtaining one of those cars is not easy. But adding similar performance parts to a base Fairlane is a way to get the look and performance, all while having some freedom to change things a bit and not hurt the value of an original.
