Ford FE 428 CJ. Stock stroke, only .010 over, +/-9.8:1 compression running pump premium gas. Hydraulic roller cam with 234/240@.050 duration and .596/.600 lift. Lightly ported Edelbrock heads and Streetmaster intake. Carb is a 735 Holley, ignition is a Ford Duraspark, reproduction oil pan. All painted Ford blue for a subtle look. We tried carb spacers, jetting, timing, velocity stack - it always made about the same power within a couple numbers.
