A Hindu temple was vandalised in Pakistan reportedly on October 10. The incident occurred at the Shri Ramdev temple in Kario Ghanwar area of Badin district in Pakistan's southeast Sindh province. Police arrested a local resident, Muhammad Ismail Sheedi, but sought to assert the possibility that he is of unsound mind. Police officer Shabir Sethar said that he had ordered an investigation and sought a report within a day. Meanwhile, London-based Pakistani activist Anila Gulzar condemned the desecration. In a Facebook post, the organisation to which she belongs - Justice for Minorities in Pakistan - said that only 20 out of 428 temples are left in Sindh. Hindus, along with other minorities in Pakistan, are constant targets of harassment and persecution. In May 2020, Pakistan's Human Rights Commission had condemned the razing of houses of Hindus and Christians in Pakistan Punjab's Bahawalpur. Watch the full video for more.
