1966 Mercury Colony Park 428 4 speed

1966 Mercury Colony Park Factory 4 Speed. This was originally a 390 2 BBL with a factory 4 speed.
Likely the only one built. The original 390 had a cracked block. I took this 66 428 out of a Thunderbird, replaced the bearings, timing chain, oil pump, valve seals and gaskets and put it in the Merc. It has a blank Transmission code on the Data Tag, which is what Ford/Mercury did when an item was special order. It also has fender mounted indicator lights, which are also pretty unusual. It was ordered with Manual Steering and Brakes. Story goes, it was ordered by a Gentleman in AZ who used it to trailer his race car. Thanks for watching.
