Question why are there letter stickers on the firewall( behind the shaker ) what are they for ? The car is gorgeous. I remember when I was about 9/10 yrs old my Mom bought me one of these in die cast form along with the Bullet Mustang for christmas still have them in the same condition.

This channel never gets old or boring still the same excitement from the first time I clicked on it, great job Rich keep up the great work and keep the good times rolling.

Those letter stickers are factory production markings as the car moved down the assembly line, they were placed to denote that it had passed a certain inspection. They were only used at Dearborn and Metuchen, not San Jose. Always appreciate the feedback David!

  I was wondering about hose stickers never seen them on those model Mustangs. When you mentioned Metuchen, were the Mustangs produced there as well ? If so I was always thought Dearborn was their hometown, I know I'v been away for so long but work has kept me so much busy I have no time to get on Youtube as before but your videos are always fun and very informative to watch. Ive worked on a couple real 428 cobra jet cars and I always thought it was crazy how close the exhaust manifold was to the shock tower on them. You would think they could have gave us mech. at least a 1/2 inch.

Hey I have a question, I have a 1970 Fastback F code, which should be 302. But the engine's firing order is that of a hight ouput version. What year could the engine block be ? And is it a 302, how can I know ? The carb is a Holley 4 barrel. Thanks

  +barthoedemaker It sounds like you have a later model "HO" block in there probably from the mid-80's to early 90's and they have the same firing order as the 351. The blocks all have casting numbers on them. C is a 60's casting, D 70's, E-80's and F-90's and so on, on the bottom and maybe hard to see in the car.

  If it's got the same firing order as the 351 it's an HO.Starting in 1982 with the reintroduction of the Mustang GT the 302's that came in the Mustang were called HO's. 95 was the last year of the Windsor based 302 in the Mustang but they were also used in Explorers.

I rode in a '70 428 SCJ R Twister MIS pace car 5 yrs ago. All Original. 4 sp. 4:30 Rear, locally owned. Documentation 1 of 3. Awesome.
