My all-time favorite car is the 1967 Shelby GT500 and I can actually trace back to the moment that I first became interested in them. In this video, I show the actual magazine article that covered a Cannonball Run Racing Shelby GT500. Built for coast to coast racing, it was jam packed with a ton of awesome features, such as: Balanced and Blueprinted 428 Cobra Jet with dual 4 BBL carbs, Doug Nash Five speed, 62 Gallon fuel capacity, Electric exhaust cutouts, dual CB Radios, dual Radar Detectors, a mobile phone, a Radar Jammer, Aircraft Landing lights, and tail lights that could be reconfigured. It was an awesome machine for sure. It could knock down 17 mpg at a steady 80 mph, which gave it incredible range. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!
