Mini-crits look (and sound) pretty powerful, but it's actually just 35% more damage. Sure, that's enough to make a difference in a lot of situations (and the no damage falloff allows for some surprise snipes on enemies), but it's a far cry from the 'real' crits 200%. Well, they're called mini for a reason I guess.
