I think brood 6 spike can contend with aa. Even with a shit landing stage brood is nuts at 6.

  Yet Brood's spiders get melted by AA ulti + shard. They won't even have a chance to run away. And if AA gets the AoE stun talent? Bruh, Brood spiders may as well not even exist. AA is one of brood's hardest counters.

Enigma's 6 spike is insane and so is Hoodwink's.

5 man stun for 400 pure damage or 550 single target damage with a 5 second slow and a break.

  AA and Enigma spammer here, both ulti's serve a fairly similar purpose even though they're completely different in function. I often go with AA if the other team has a hero that's particularly troublesome for Enigma like clockwork or Wyvern. AA's ulti goes through spell immunity like Enigma ulti, and while it doesn't stun it does prevent healing and shatter potential. In fact, I've been in numerous 5-man ulti scenarios as AA that would not have worked out quite as well if I had snagged a delicious 5-man black hole. Both ulti's also deal a %-based damage, depending on whether or not you get off your Midnight Pule before Ulti. Only difference being the % damage for AA ulti only takes effect at a certain threshold.

AA Spammer here. My $0.02 -- I agree with much of Speeed's take, but wholly disagree with his hate for Mana Boots.

Mana Boots are the way to go, 1000%. Not Tranquils. Why? Several reasons.

1) Mana Boots enable you to be super aggro with spell casting, which is precisely what makes AA so terrifying -- his constant spell harass and constant stun threat. You want to be able to throw out at least 2 rounds of all your non-ulti spells in an engagement if you can manage it. This won't work early game if you're relying on a slow trickle of MP regen.

2) You will run into mana sustain issues even with Basi, if you're playing AA right, which is actually why I often like to get both mana boots AND basi -- and many mangos.

3) Tranqs can't be disassembled, so if you want to build an Aether Lens, Lotus, or Aeon (each can serve a useful purpose for AA depending on enemy hero picks), you'll have to eat a big cost. If you go Mana Boots, you can disassemble them mid-late game when mana sustain won't be a problem.

4) Your E disables the Tranquil boots passive, so every time you engage meaningfully you'll lose its benefit. If you really need a little extra MS, just get mana boots and a casual windlace. The HP regen is useless for AA, too. AA is a hero that either wins a 1v1/1v2 in 6 seconds, or dies. You do not want to fight a protracted 1v1 as AA, unlike other heroes like Centaur or Axe, so the Regen won't be useful in-fight. The tranqs will only be useful outside of fights, whereas the mana boots are useful both in and out of fights -- and are useful for your team, too.

5) Move Speed is not important for AA, not really. Your Ult is global, so it doesn't require you to stay on top of your target. Your Q stun is dependent on your target's position relative to initiation and has nothing to do with your move speed. W isn't a consideration here, nor is your E. There's literally no reason to go for higher MS boots unless you get Shard, have gold to burn, and want to help a little bit with split pushing -- then get BoT. If enemy heroes being faster than you turns into a real issue, just buy windlace and potentially turn that into Eul's to 1) set up stuns easier and 2) stack another Windlace MS boost.

Trust me, this really is the way to go. Otherwise, Speeed's take is 100% spot on.

berst six spike? depends on the situation adn how you use it. If enigma get six and get 5 man blackhole thats hell of a spike so is tide and dp etc. If you get aa lvl 6 and miss every ball its not the best
