I'm not really sure why the discussion of "it'll shut down eventually so what's the point" has come up now... That's true for every single gacha or online game, I think that's something you're signing up for from the start. I personally made my peace with FEH, I forced myself to play it for months because of the sunk cost fallacy, until I also became one of those 4 times a year players. I'm not into Fire Emblem anymore, so I'll probably uninstall it for some time again after the new book starts, and then come back for a little again someday... And I think that's completely fine. I spent a good amount of time and money on it, but I still don't feel like it was wasted even if I don't have a passion for FE anymore. It made me happy at the time and it gave me a lot of good memories, so I don't think there's anything else I could ask for

I guess I live under a rock. FEH seems to be doing fine and I have no complaints. However, it irritates me when people always bring the "this game is dead" crap.

Okay first off, a game is "dead" when the game is no longer around. Im talking the servers are off permanently and the game disappears from everything. A game with a low population but still bringing in money for the devs like DCUO is very much alive and operating but is not "dead". Dont say "weLl, it'S oN iTs wAy tHeRe" because it's been 10 years and they get new players coming in and some old players still dropping money on their content everyday. People can contact the devs about any game and provide FEEDBACK(not disrespectful comments or anything like that) regarding the gameplay or anything else that can be fixed or improved. Ranting is counterproductive. It's why I tune out all of that and just enjoy the game. If the devs refuse to acknowledge the feedback, then the appropriate decision is to simply stop playing the game. If they do acknowledge and put in some effort or a lot of effort, then we might want to acknowledge it and continue to enjoy the game despite some flaws. Or, develop your own game.

Great video! Loving a game, or anything, doesn't mean you shouldn't criticize it. Criticism is the key to starting conversations to help the game improve.

People have to talk about things that bother them in any piece of media. If they don't it goes inward and makes them angrier about it until it boils over. I have a lot of things I want to say, but especially this - as someone who loves doing live theater like plays and musicals, all I get to keep from that is my memories and pictures, maybe some souvenirs. And I still treasure those times. If FEH brought you joy and you can remember it fondly when it's gone, that is the important thing.

I actually did stop playing feh more this year compared to the previous due to it being boring for me. I did come back to get +10 B!eirika and left the game a few weeks later. I come back and log in every now and then but the same game modes just got boring for me. I love fe. Yes ill be sad when its time to say bye to feh.

Personally I've been bothered by the increased focus in competitive aspects with how F2P units have remained relatively stagnant with a few exceptions and how a ton of the 5 star locks are meant to counterpick popular units (I love Pirate Hinoka and Ninja Corrin but you can't convince me that they weren't designed the way they were to shut down Brave Hectors, especially ones running Far Save), and the design of some of the in game content prioritizing persuasion to try some mechanics rather than actually trying to formulate a proper strategy with your team (Aelfric's map in particular is especially guilty of this). Not to say the game shouldn't be played competitively, but it's the increased persuasion that's bugging me. In the end though, I enjoy FEH because I enjoy building up my favorite units and using them together, as well as seeing characters I love in arbitrary scenarios as well as in-game lore the game creates for itself. If it still has a player base, it's still going to be around for a while longer.

I'm tired of the Laziness of GHBs and units in general.

Alot of the time they are worse then older ones or pool units
