Wow... This one took awhile. Mostly deliberating about how to get the stupid Aether pots! Six (or 5...) fights to go...
Fight 1: Rematch #3: No Alm! No IP! I've got a chance. Super Tank time! Saw the Restore "trap" I just forgot about my Panic Manor...of all things... That caused healer to move but luckily I was in OK position. Next turn: BAMFs Corrin and Caineghis tag team together and turn Corrin into a tank too! Three hits from Naga AND an Ares hit!? Way to go Corrin!! The problem ...Azura left alive and I forgot just how awful -Res Naga is in tanking magic hits. That said, post review I COULD have saved her for a turn (just block Azura from the West and South and then move Naga down). Now would it have mattered? Not sure, but I didn't see it... And ended up deciding a pot, at this point in the season, is potentially worth 160 points... So... Hope the gamble pays off. -20.
Fight 2: Whew! This was stressful. No healing tower and yet I went with Aversa. Not sure that was wise... Because I had no help I decided to use Aversa's Spur Def/Res, but this caused LK not to transform... And Yune Quaded him with no retaliation. I was convinced she would do zero damage a hit, but that 3 a hit almost finished me... It didn't though and a crisis ended up turning into a prefect. Pretty cool final turn to get both pots and finish. Perfect.
Status:
- 20 offense lost (140/200 total) (Note: Depends on how you want to count the loss ..-100 or -160)
- 55 defense lost today (after recording) (255 total)
- 0 Aether missed today (2 from lost fight)
- No ladders (!)
My strategy has changed to: rematch my way to a bonus fight. It's working so far. 4 more pots and I get a guaranteed 16th fight. The risk? Well, the 16th fight could be ridiculously hard. And I literally have no "easy" rematches left. Alm has proved to be death. If I see an Alm or IP spam I'm probably dead. I even sacrificed 20 points for Aether today. I did this because if I LOSE again that would be a guaranteed DOUBLE LOSS. That's the apocalyptic scenario. Don't want that.
Thankfully putting some "points on the board" SHOULD guarantee me a top 3000 finish. So just trying to get tier 25 now... Anything else is a bonus.
