I wouldn’t call her the new Castoria personally. Just an arts Merlin but better! If anything though, I would keep all my arts supports since all of them are really good arts supports! That, and there are situations where you can’t use double Castoria.

I would just like to point out that with Lady Avalon, Arts and Buster got three high-end supports before Quick even got two. Ruler Skadi _needs_ to be a Quick support that far surpasses her base version, or at least massively builds on her glaring weaknesses. It's clear that DW's hatred of the card type has only slightly abated with Lasaengly; even the recent "buff" essentially benefits everything _but_ Quick.

Anyway, Proto Merlin seems like a sturdier version of Corgi. Run them both with Tamamo and you have the unassailable Blue Wall that no Assassin can ever hope to stand against--surprisingly decent card damage too. They have the kind of synergy that Quick sorely lacks.

  No, no she isn't. She practically puts Arthur on a wild goose chase for Beast 6 before he can finally rest and worse part is she sent him to the wrong Beast 6

Didn't have any unrealistic expectations of her and I'm definitely not disappointed.
I use Merlin mainly alongside Summer Kama and I'm super happy with their performance!
She's definitely someone I'm going to 100% pull for when she releases on NA!

I'd say Merlin hits higher damage thresholds just because Buster hits harder while still keeping the team alive. He also buffs stargen on top of stars per turn, and I'd say class is important here, because pretenders have higher Star weight than Casters, something you don't want on your supports.
I'm not saying she is not Monstruous. In fact I'm delighted because I got her this morning. But more than "Merlin but better" I think she is more "Merlin for arts". And with a lot of recent supports, I would say she is a sidegrade with better sinergy with the current best type of card. Overall... I'm a bit disappointed. I would prefer a different kind of support, like CD reduction like her Arcade counterpart or something among the lines.
I'll still save at least 900 SQ for her pity once she arrives to NA. Top tier waifu.

Arts do keep getting spoiled with them having the Supports that synergize with each other and cover each other's weaknesses. Castoria gives the Offense and Imprenetable Invul, Tamamo's utility with her AoE Cooldown Reduction, Charge and Heal and finally Merlin's Longevity and Sustain to back up both. Quick really has big walls to climb

Is there any benefit to doing more than NP1 of her? Based on the information so far, it looks like the answer would be "no", but I'm not a expert here.
