Bruh, Castoria, Iri, and Skadi did the job of stalling him while he burned through his men. He specifically had it out for Castoria cuz she kept surviving his instakill NP. Iri and Skadi were my MVPs of stalling till Sanzou came out. I completed this fight pre-patch and it was horrible. The death proc was any moment and he sent all my plans back to the drawing board until Cu Alter clutched it. The post-patch was still terrible, but a little more manageable. This a fight thats meant for expensive setup. If you have Iri, you want her with a CE that increase her NP gain so that she bounces off someone like Castoria, Skadi, and Merlin. I beat this fight pre and post patch. If this came back again, I'm not touching this. Compared to any other challenge quest, this was by far the hardest.

I only have castoria np 1 no Merlin or skadi so my question is whose more important to be on the team skadi or Merlin and can you give substitute for the other servant?

  Skadi gives you your instakill immunity. Unless you can run a Moon Cancer in the left slot, you're gonna want her around. You could try using Medea Lily, Asclepius, or Tamamo instead of Merlin.

My composition for this was Merlin, Skadi then someone's lvl 120 NP 5 shuten caster lmao, Hassan got wrecked

Finally manage to beat this after so many try. My strategy is to stall until the damage shield on gramps is gone using skadi, tamamo and castoria. I don't have skadi or merlin so had to borrow from friend. And then switch skadi to dps and try to quickly kill gramps as fast as i can. Had to use all CS so i can fire NP immediately every turn.

This one was the only one I didn't finish last time around, so I was eager for another go at the Old Man, it was hell. I tried many different strats but dealing with both damage and instakill required too many resources so my entire team died before my Damage Dealer was able to do anything, I was finally able to get a win by benching my damage dealer and putting a frontline of Castoria, Scatach/Skadi and Tamamo Caster, similar to your example.

The strategy was tanking and charging my NPs with a triple NP Chain every few turns while the Old Man lost all of his damage reduction, then leaving one character die and my Damage Dealer in the backline could finish King Hassan, it worked, but it also took 51 turns, for anyone trying this strat give one of the frontline casters the damage event CE.

Also, Tamamo is probably more consistent than Merlin for this quest once you pull of the first NP chain, the 30-40 NP generated by every NP chain is stupidly strong and makes the next NP chain fairly easy to get, and while lossing the instant team invul is painful, the NP drain helps with doing this faster and protecting in key turns.

I used the same team as in the video, except I put MLB Prisma Cosmos on Merlin. Didn't need a healer and finished the fight at full health.

Beat it with ereshkigal then used xuanzang to clear. It was pretty fun the second time around when I got the good rng
