Fate/Grand Order [Part 2] - Cosmos in the Lostbelt PV

更新日:

Start 2018 off right with mediocre translations done without proper context. Now with even more corrections.

The translation notes I forgot the first time around:
月下美人 is a plant. One of its English names has a similar connotation as the literal translation of 月下美人, so I went with that. It literally translates into something like 'moonlight beauty.' At the point in time, I don't know if they want the phrase to be taken literally or to be taken to refer to the plant so I tried to split the difference with 'queen of the night.' But when you combine words like 'crimson' and 'moon' and 'beauty', doesn't it remind you of someone?
真国 can apparently refer to Eastern Xia, but the dates don't match up because Eastern Xia was 1215-1233 AD and Lostbelt No. 3 is 210 BC. So I translated it literally for now. But if Lostbelt No. 3 turns out to be set in Eastern Xia, you heard it here first.
Basically, all the Lostbelt locations are giant kanji mashups that I don't actually have any clue how to translate.
Also, don't quote me on "Filtering Outsider Phenomenon" because I have no clue how it's spelled in Japanese and therefore it could mean something completely different from what it sounds like.
The 'star' in 'the moment a star is born' can actually be 'planet' depending on the context. Since Lostbelt No. 6 is apparently connected to the Round Table, it could honestly be either 'planet' or 'star,' much like the 星 in Excalibur's descriptions that have been plaguing translators for years.

Let's spend 2018 saving the world again, friends.

(How many times am I going to reupload this? However many times it takes for it to stop being so terribly wrong.)
