New heroes to Overwatch locked in the battlepass made many players fear for pay to win from the start, but in the Beta the game was better balanced and it was hard to image it descending into the counterpick heavy meta game that we got by the end of Season 1. Season 2 kicks off introducing Ramattra in two days and it doesn't seem clear that Blizzard is looking to make the quick balancing that they promised, meanwhile the real ramifications for the paywalled content will only begin to be felt in Season 2.
