Releasing new maps, game modes, and heroes isn't the future of OW. It's the same as they've done before. We've seen what they do when they introduce new game modes like push, new heros like Lifeweaver. They're bad at it. This is the past of OW. And matchmaking is bad. And smurfs are bad. Those things outweigh everything else. They aren't a good dev team, this isn't a good game worth playing anymore. Bring back OW1.

Disagree. Ow2 competitive is worse then ow1. Less data/stats exposed. Less Elo clarity. shouldnt gave 2 supports unless you have the same amount of support characters as DPS or make the requirement 1 tank, 1 support, and 3 DPS.

I can’t play this game anymore, it’s so boring and toxic. I used to play the original all the time but nothing feels any different and anything that might be is behind a paywall or a battle pass I’m not playing through because I’m bored.

I prefer overwatch 1 pvp any day. Player card being on fire the old states menu was so much better than this bland thing we have now.

the only thing that could realistically fix overwatch is an industry-wise unionization starting at microsoft-blizzard-activision. that way the developers would actually be able to have a say in what goes into their game without the fear of retaliation from higher-up suits (ex: getting fired, getting demoted, getting a pay cut, being moved departments, etc). without that, the game is fucked beyond reason, and theres no way the developers could get an upper hand over the execs.

while i do agree that the developers dont deserve a lot of the heat, i do think that the LEAD game designers alex and jared could realistically say something about the situation, and receive large community support for doing so. i understand that this is their job but at some point even workers realistically need to say no, otherwise the suits will just continue to walk all over them. its (unfortunately) time for the head developers to actually take some risk for their game instead of yes-manning these greedy, profit-hungry execs. The lead devs are actively letting the heat fall onto them and the smaller devs of the game. it gets so tiring as a player to hear the lead devs talk about "listening" to players when all they realistically listen to is the fuckin suits.
IMO, its also completely unrealistic to think if alex and jared were fired from MBA, for being realistic about the way ow is treated, they wouldnt be able to find jobs for other large AAA developers. they, alex and jared, absolutely have job security within the field/industry.
