The entire game of Overwatch has returned to allow Tank and Support players to make big plays and dictate a big % of the fight, not just through their inherient impact 'existing' on the battlefield, but through deciecive plays that are required for success in this meta. Mercy is still playable, but far more exploitable and because of that engage tactics with Winston can carry games, not to mention with Lucio and Ana buffed, the pair of them stand tallest among the support class, which very fun for many players because their among the hardest supports to play in the game, really enabling skill to succeed in a way that flying away as mercy every fight doesn't quite reward. A ton of heroes are viable and the only one we're really considering a must pick is Lucio, who can sometimes be required to get your team away from aggression or get them into position to be effective as without him, many of the other powerful abilities and heroes in the game can hit your team without them being able to react, Orisa halt, flanks, or simple Winston engages will really punish an immobile, hapless attempt at taking space. We think this i the best meta ever, with the biggest % of playmaking spread out throughout the hero cast, from all positions. The last few patches pushed the meta into a bit of stagnation, but finally now we think we're back to a big % of the game being active again and that's really exciting. Is this the BEST meta ever! ? We think it is, skill is back in a big way and that's great.
