IDDQD sat down with Principle Designer for Overwatch Geoff Goodman to discuss all manner of hero balance and ranked issues. Reaper Bastion Ashe McCree Mercy and more all get discussed and the consensus on many of them is that they're tricky to even change as they perform so differently at all ranks and in fact, most of them are in the best place Blizzard probably can get them for now. Winston and Zarya though may be getting an upcoming buff with how their damage applies which will help them do more damage versus armor. This would be a a major change to Winston who's tesla cannon does almost nothing poking past shields vs a deathball full of heroes with armor protecting them. If he could meaningfully damage in those poke harass he'd perform much better vs Rein and Brigitte especially.
