The knockback/crowd control/boop rework is overall a good idea from Blizzard, especially as Baptiste's Immortality Field necessitates boops be reliable, however there may be a meta effect that was unintended, the best boopers in the game are Brigitte and Lucio who get a secret buff with this new system. In turn, this is a buff to GOATS, as it's even harder to commit onto it to focus a target. You may say, well you couldn't get close to it anyway, so who cares? But Soundwave or Rocket Flail hitting even a Pharah, Doomfist or Wrecking ball engage etc many characters are hit by these reliable boops harder than you expect making the defensive positional fortress that is GOATS comp even more reliably controlled than it was before, despite the handful of cupcake nerfs (speed nerf is legit but-) towards it. This draws concern as it's clear Blizzard is attempting to dissuade pros from picking only-GOATS comp in Overwatch League 2019 Stage 2, but despite a laundry list of changes, the overall impact may not be as big as intended. With this, it's time to make a meaningful nerf to Brigitte. Her shield health and overall sustain is incredible. She's a duelist in close range in a way Reaper could only dream of. Whereas other tanks get free kills by pressing W, Brigitte is more lethal and more survivable AND heals herself / her team. She's the superwoman of supports and despite loving her playstyle and the meta she enables for my own personal SR gain, it's unhealthy for non FPS compontents to dominant an FPS game. I should have to play crafty to outplay DPS, not simply have better stats than them de facto based on hero select and win that way. If you enjoyed the video please be sure to leave it a like!
