The new patch dropped today giving us replays, competitive deathmatch and the Baptiste mini event where you can earn a free new skin, but the balance changes were altered a bit from the PTR. McCree's buff is lessened ... SLIGHTLY. And Brigitte's massive bug making rally really strong gets fixed in one fell swoop also adding in line of sight checks against barriers, a further nerf to its use. Otherwise the rest of the video we discuss the validity of the expectation of the new hero 31 in Overwatch to be the talon tank Mauga, who's character and kit seemed all-too-precisely detailed in the excellent new short story "What You Left Behind", but also thematically he seems to fit with where they are taking overwatch lore-wise but also in general in 2019. This is the big year where they take OW to the next level, with actual lore, complex motivations and politics, grey morality and consequences. Mauga is all too perfect to kick that off into the start of Overwatch's 4th year, it would almost be a slap in the face at this point to signal all of this intent, then release an unrelated character to these efforts.
