Another Limited Quest featured PSO1 music, complete with the original dynamic switching and a new PSE Burst mix. Once again I knuckled down into playing this quest over and over with my sfx turned off to record the new variation exclusive to PSO2. Hilariously, after piecing together several small parts of the song's loop, my final recording session ended up giving me the entire loop with no need to edit bits together - because I disconnected during a PSE Burst and was able to happily sit there recording the full song before I clicked "OK" on the dialog box to return to title screen.

For those unfamiliar, this song originally comes from Phantasy Star Online Episode II, where it is used for VR Spaceship's fields, "VR Spaceship Alpha" and "VR Spaceship Beta".
For those who haven't played PSO2, it is used for a Limited Quest (special quests available for only a few weeks) in which you must run around one of several preset layouts for the Forest field, defeating enemies and bosses to earn points, and getting screwed over by roughly one bazillion gel wulfs (pictured) as you do.
Unlike the previous cases of PSO1 music during PSO2 quests, I'm not ENTIRELY sure where they were coming from with this one. VR Spaceship Alpha does have a forest in the background, but otherwise it's a very mechanically-inclined stage, so having it reused here for a Forest Quest felt a bit out-of-place (it would have fit Urban Sector or Corrupted Underworks best, I think, visually speaking). I'm guessing it was chosen for PSO2 because this Limited Quest was presented as the second in a pair for the 2016 Thanksgiving Event, and VR Temple and VR Spaceship were sort of a pair in PSO1, both story-wise, and musically in the sense that both have battle themes that contain refrains of music from dungeons in the early Phantasy Star games. So I guess that all ties into the Thanksgiving event regarding Phantasy Star as a series.
