PUBG Mobile: How to use a Controller on Android (No ROOT)

Xbox One Controller (Bluetooth Compatible)
Android
Hopefully this saves you the time and pain I went through trying to do this dumb shit.

If you don't have a Bluetooth Xbox controller (One S or One X) controller, you can pick up a micro Usb to USB 2 adapter for like £3 and wire the controller. Works for me.

  I have two original Xbox one controllers. The one I mainly use (with no faults) does not work for no apparent reason when I use the USB adapter. Although my other which is exactly the same does work, but the right stick sticks upwards making hard to aim. Therefore I gave up and realised I'm better off just using my phone.
