Kenya Forests Service claims Narok county government has failed to tame the wanton destruction of the Maasai Mau Complex. KFS now says it will be forced to recommend that the forest be handed back to the national government for protection. According to the Kenya forests service management over 12,000 hectares of land in the forest has been encroached by the public and illegal logging is going on at unimaginable proportion despite a six months ban imposed on March this year.
