One that wasnt mentioned that i particularly like is world of final fantasys bahamut its got strong colors and interesting bits like jet engines on its wings without making the rest of him look very mechanical

Ok no, your favorite nostalgic one is objectively the correct one. I have absolutely no nostalgia for any final fantasy game because i haven't played any of them. But X's version is so fucking CLEAN bro. The colors, the shapes, the presence. It has an air of ancient divinity as well as contained danger. Immaculate. No notes.

With Bahamut, I have three takeaway with it:

1) It is a very versatile summon. Since it is usually seen not affiliated with one specific element, it does seem like it gets to take full advantage of being an OP Summon when called out. And while it does get affiliated with light in FF16, it does intrigue me how Bahamut can be seen also as one of the strongest summons too in that regard (Or at least for FF14 which I guess we could say lore wise was the reason why the game got rebooted).

2) As silly as this sounds, I didn't think of this until Granblue and hearing how one of the "OG" summons they have also share a name. I guess Bahamut is a very nice name to use for the King of Dragons (if I recall that correctly through a means or so). But yeah, while dragons are definitely deeply fantasy based, it does seem like if you want to show who the strongest is, give them the name Bahamut.

3) It's hard to say which Bahamut I love the most, but again, FFX was a masterclass in Summons. Ifrit, Shiva and now Bahamut. In this case, Bahamut comes off as this lingering and overpowering force. It knows it is powerful and thus keeps its arms crossed as if to say this fight is beneath him, but will still fulfill the obligation made with the one who summoned him. Just a wonderful overall design.

I know I said three, but I'll toss one more in: Megaflare. Yeah, Odin's one-hit kill is iconic, but something about Megaflare and watching it slowly countdown can be nerve-racking when you're on the receiving end. It is almost like the atomic bomb and slowly waiting for it to go off before the giant explosion and you feel that impact. All the while you and your party are frantically attempting to stop the attack from going off. Overall, Bahamut is just wonderful. While I would say Ifrit is still my personal favorite, I wouldn't be shocked if anyone looks at Bahamut as the defacto summon of Final Fantasy.

Skyen, when you say something has a Gundam-like appearance, what do you mean exactly? Is it the V-shaped horns or the flared out shoulders? It kind of reminds me of the over-the-top designs from Gundam Seed, specifically the Strike Freedom Gundam, but I'd like to know your thoughts here.

X Bahamut absolutely gives of "Big Boy of Summons" with his character design, the colorful wings & perpetual crossed arm stance. If you can see how bug he compared to most other summons, it helps.

I honestly don't know why so many Dragons in XIV have the massive dumpy, it helps give them a unique identity though.
