Heyo! Here's Part 36 of my Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Playthrough / Walkthrough / Lets play! I'm ahead of uploads currently so I've been working on a massive compilation of my DMC5 play through lately! Expect that before the end of August! Or at the latest early September!
Last time Seosamh returned to Alphinaud while the Exarch brought the Earthseed for Chai-Nuzz's Talos and they returned to Amity. Y'shtola has brought more than enough of the Night's Blessed to imbue the materials with aether. Chai-Nuzz begins to complain once more due to his anxiety but Urianger tells him that he has been working his hardest and can only keep trying. Chai-Nuzz says that while they have enough for the heart they need more in order to bring the rest of the Talos to life. Y'shtola and Runar thought ahead and, rather than making Seosamh obtain more ore, they brought the Heartstones of the Night's Blessed who had passed. While a precious item to their culture, Runar and the other Night's Blessed agreed that if they are to bring the night sky to the rest of Norvrandt then it is a good thing and it will be an honor. Y'shtola asks Seosamh to imbue aether for good luck, having him do so with the Jade Heartstone of Toddia; the one he and Ryne found for the Night's Blessed. Alphinaud tells Seosamh to go rest while they set up the rest of the Talos. Once they are alone Y'shtola asks Urianger if he has contingencies or not for Seosamh's safety if he cannot contain the light. Urianger says he does, but does not tell them more than that. Seosamh tells Urianger that he trusts him, Urianger then telling him that he cares for his safety just as much as he does the land of The First.
Chai-Nuzz mentions that Dulia-Chai is in the tavern with the Exarch and to join them. When Seosamh enters the Tavern only Dulia-Chai is there and he asks where the Exarch is, Dulia-Chai explaining that he seemed weak and exhausted, having gone out to get some fresh air, telling her he would be fine.
Seosamh goes to look for him, finding him near the tip of the land over looking the lower part of Kholusia. Seosamh finds him dreaming and the Exarch apologizes. He explains that when away from the Crystal Tower he grows weak. This is due to his merging with the tower to extend his life to continue helping the people of Norvrandt. He says that his wish for Norvrandt is nearly complete and asks how construction on the Talos goes, Seosamh telling him. The Exarch is glad to hear of the progress and asks if Seosamh will sit with him. The two talk of what will come next; Seosamh saying that he will settle things with the Garlean Empire. Seosamh asks the Exarch what he will do and he says that he mentioned they have things they can ill afford to lose. The Exarch explains he was referring to a friend; his inspiration. Whom he hides information from but yearns to tell his friend of his adventures in Norvrandt yet cannot for he has his reasons. He would ask of his friend's next adventure and if said friend would ask the Exarch to join him he would be so very happy. He then stands, saying that it all depends on the out come of the battle and thanks Seosamh for talking with him. They return to Amity, the Talos ready to be awakened.
Back in The Source, Elidibus is attempting to convince the Emperor to crush the resistance, explaining the Scions and Seosamh as well are not of this world currently, to take advantage. Before the Emperor can say anything about the proposal, the actual Zenos appears, which seems to cause worry for Elidibus. Zenos tells him that he cares not for his name but does his body, and that Elidibus will either give him his secrets or the body back first but he will get them both from him.
Back in The First, the Talos comes to life, reaching toward Mt. Gulg! Sin Eaters attack the Talos' hand but Feo-Ul and the Fae Folk appear, thwarting their efforts! Seosamh and the Scions make for Mt. Gulg. The battle with the final Light Warden draws ever closer. Will they be able to defeat Vauthry...?
If you want to skip it, the intro ends at roughly 1 minute and 45 seconds. It is a longer intro because I did not feel my usual 30-45 second intros would do this justice. And justice demands no less! But here it is - Part 36 of my Shadowbringers Playthrough / Walkthrough / Lets play!
I am hoping to have some friends to full party dungeons during the playthrough but we'll see! I can always try out the new Trust System if need be. So far I've been very much loving the new expansion, and especially the changes to Summoner! What all do you think of the expansion and Patch 5.0 so far? Let me know in the comments below!
