Ghazal 332 (English)
With the point of Thy arrow - glance ,at my heart ,strike not
For ,before Thy sick languishing eye ,I die .
Within the limit of excellence ,is the lawful portion of beauty
Me ,alms give for miserable and fakir ,I am .
O Zahid like boys ,how long practisest thou towards me deceitfulness ,
With the apple of the garden of paradise and the honey ,and the milk of the garden
With the Friend ,my heart's space became full to such a degree ,
That ,lost from my mind ,became the thought of self .
Full ,make the goblet for from love's fortune ,I
Will make youthful fortune to leap ,though old I am .
With the wine - sellers ,an arrangement I have made ,
That ,on grief's day ,naught save the cup of love I take .
Be naught save the account of the minstrel and of wine
If a word the reed of my secretary write .
In that tumult of the resurrection when another's state none asketh ,
From the Pir of the Magians Muhammad the favour of acceptance before God I accept .
O happy that moment when independence of intoxication ,
Me ,freedom from dependence on the king and the vazir ,giveth
I am that bird such that ,every evening and morning ,
From the roof ,the ninth heaven ,cometh the cry of mine .
In the heart ,great treasures I have
Although me ,poor and indigent the adversary regardeth .
Off from Hafiz ,my heart I took at that time
When the Saki my necessary friend became .

Avec la pointe de ta flèche - regarde, à mon cœur, ne frappe pas
Car, devant ton œil malade et languissant, je meurs.
Dans la limite de l'excellence, la part licite de la beauté
Moi, donnez l'aumône pour misérable et fakir, je suis.
O Zahid comme les garçons, combien de temps pratiquez-vous envers moi la tromperie,
Avec la pomme du jardin du paradis et le miel, et le lait du jardin
Avec l'ami, l'espace de mon cœur s'est rempli à un tel degré,
Cela, perdu de mon esprit, est devenu la pensée de soi.
Plein, fais le gobelet de la fortune de l'amour, je
Fera fortune juvénile pour sauter, même si je suis vieux.
Avec les vendeurs de vin, un arrangement que j'ai fait,
Que, le jour du chagrin, rien d'autre que la coupe d'amour que je prends.
Ne soyez rien sauf le compte du ménestrel et du vin
Si un mot le roseau de ma secrétaire écrit.
Dans ce tumulte de la résurrection où personne ne demande l'état d'un autre,
Du Pir des Mages Muhammad, j'accepte la faveur de l'acceptation devant Dieu.
O heureux ce moment où l'indépendance de l'ivresse,
Moi, libéré de la dépendance du roi et du vazir, donne
Je suis cet oiseau tel que, chaque soir et matin,
Du toit, le neuvième ciel, vient mon cri.
Dans le coeur, de grands trésors que j'ai
Bien que l'adversaire me regarde pauvre et indigent.
Hors de Hafiz, mon cœur que j'ai pris à ce moment-là
Quand le Saki est devenu mon ami indispensable.

مزن بر دل زنوك غمزه تيرم كه پيش چشم بيمارت بميرم
نصاب حسن در حد كمال است زكاتم ده كه مسكين و فقيرم
قدحپركن كه من در دولت عشق جوانبخت جهانم گرچه پيرم
چنان پر شد فضاي سينه از دوست كه فكر خويش گم شد از ضميرم
مبادا جز حساب مطرب و مي اگر نقشي كشد كلك دبيرم
در آن غوغا كه كس كس را نپرسد من از پير مغان منت پذيرم
چو طفلان تا كي اي زاهد فريبي به سيب بوستان و شهد و شيرم
قراري بسته ام با مي فروشان كه روز غم بجز ساغر نگيرم
من آن مرغم كه هر شام وسحرگاه زبام عرش مي آيد صفيرم
خوشا آن دم كه استغناي مستي فراغت بخشد از شاه و وزيرم
چو حافظ گنج او در سينه دارم اگر چه مدعي بيند حقيرم
