Came a little to close with a Dyson DC25 to my Sennheiser HD 428 Headphone cable. REPLACEMENT PART (http://amzn.to/1N7YRzh Mogami W2893 cable ) The original cable being so light, it got caught in the cyclonic vacuum and ripped away from the headphones. I did some research and found audiophiles replacing the headphone cable to improve sound quality and performance of their headphone. One of the most popular options was to use a 26 AWG Mogami W2893 cable and a Switchcraft 3.5mm stereo plug, so I ordered it but it never came.
As an alternative approach I went to a store that sold cables and connectors, actually called "Cables and Connectors" and purchased 10' of 4 pole 24 gauge cable which was a little thicker than the Mogami, but it also included shielding. I also picked up a set of 3.5mm plugs for a total of $10 with tax.
