Anas’WUG was born in 1995 and raised in the Gergaresh neighborhood of Tripoli. Coming of age in an era of political turmoil, Anas has been through it all on his path to becoming the face of contemporary Libyan music. Keenly aware of the trauma his nation has faced, Anas sees his music as a celebration of survival and a testament to the resilience of his people. Rapping and singing in both Arabic and English, he provides a much needed perspective on life and consistent voice of perseverance in chaotic times. With an unwavering self-belief hardened by having lived through revolution, civil war, and life as an immigrant, Anas is poised to be a major player in North Africa's vibrant rap scene.
