FEH: How to win Arena Assault as a F2P cheapskate.

投稿日:

0. Read the description.
1. Look for their clear weakness.
2. Abuse that weapon triangle.
3. Abuse the A.I.
4. Abuse healers/dancers.

I just realised that I never inherited a single skill on any characters other than Karla ever since her banner came out, I am so proud of myself.

--------------------------------------------------

Battle 1: Extreme weapon triangle abuse, where magic isn't everything.

While many looked down on Titania for her "not-so-useful" refinement, I'm sitting here feeling happy with a legendary emerald axe because I always use her to bait Reinhardt (or basically anything that is blue), even when I clearly don't have distant counter for her.

With the newly released spd ploy seal, Arvis is now the master of ploys, without having any investment. Just look at all the debuffs, not even a +10 Reinhardt with +Atk IVs could even scratch Titania. However, this combo comes with a great weakness, that is a sword unit who can counter on both range (a.k.a Roy with DC), since Titania is weak against any reds, while Arvis is just weak against physical units in general.

So, there's Shanna, a flying lance unit with decent base kit to bait sword units like Roy here. With Titania's Res tactic refinement and Arvis' debuffs, even Shanna's middling Atk/Res can now become deadly when her Iceberg procs. She can also use the guidance seal to position Arvis for the ploys.

Finally, to ensure this combo last forever, we will need a healer. Basically any healer will do, since Arvis/Titania/Shanna doesn't share the same movement type, which also grants the healer that bonus Res from Titania. I chose Priscilla because of her spur def, to help Shanna tank against Roy. Lastly, Priscilla can cause some panic for even more debuffs (when enemies are buffed) when healing isn't really required.

A.k.a. best F2P combo ever.

---------------------------------------

Battle 2: Healers are broken if you only need just one (or two) attacker(s).

Ever since the refinement for the dragons, they are a popular choice for arena teams. However, using them on arena defense is.. well.. not that useful, since most of us just bait them instead of attacking them. Why, even F!Corrin with Windsweep is more scary than Nowi for me. Without any blue dragons or swordbreakers, M!Marth is the best F2P unit to deploy to fight against such teams.

When you are a cheapskate like me, who also wants to play it safe by not relying on strong units early on, you can train up any 4* (even 3* also works) healers to support your main attacker. Sakura has fortify def, Maria has fortify res, Lachesis has spur res, all these small bonuses are enough to cover up M!Marth's low mixed defenses during combat. Why, you could even save a healer for future battles by using only 1 or 2 of them, if you are confident enough.

Another example would be using Lukas against a team full of swords. I only had a Wrys backup just in case. Healers FTW.

---------------------------------

Battle 3: Making use of map-based skills (e.g. Skadi) and dancers.

From my previous FEH video about Leo & Elise BHB, you probably already know how this tactic works. It basically works like a panic ploy but with a larger range vertically, and deals 10 chip (cheap) damage.

Nothing much to say about this though, it is extremely map-reliant, but if your initial starting position is a top-vs-bottom kind like this one, Skadi is definitely a must-bring skill.

Though it's questionable whether it's F2P friendly regarding the +6 Olivia, but hey, I'm not even using her for combat, just for dance purposes. Even the WoM isn't used in the battle, so I guess it's fine.

Side note: This enemy flier team is by far one of the most dedicated (+10 Minerva + Pegasus sisters) and the most dangerous team ever. If not for Klein and F!Takumi, I might not be able to win this without anyone dying. 3 of them has distant counter + vantage combo, and their speeds are ridiculously high. If my attacks cannot defeat them in a single hit, then I would need to restart the whole thing. I respect this player for that dedication.

I know I could just use B!Lyn to prevent counterattacks, but what if you met a 2nd flier team like this in arena assault? It's better to make preparations for this kind of situation. If you are reading all of this, you should probably know that I'm also a lazy person who doesn't like to do captions, even though it's questionable that I actually typed out an essay here. :3
