Thank GOD a FEHtuber said it lol but yeah, skill inheritance is not only bad because of tier 4 skills, but IntSys refuses to wire us some of the most basic fodder to accomodate these new tier 4 skills. Like WHY IN THE WORLD did it take 2-3 years to put atk/spd catch into the regular pool (grails but you get the point, seasonals don't count)

I know the answer is to get us to spend money, but it's actively making the game less fun pressuring us to pull for fodder almost every turn so our units can function like they're supposed to (or better).

8:53 I think I had to rebuild my Sharena around 7 in the last 12 banner because there was a new unit with a strong skill that works on fast Sharena and then there is a nuke unit who I need a advanced team comp and then I always fall beck to fallen Maria because Sharena dies in one hit.
I know she is considered one of the worst unit to use but I managed to beat L alear with her but I needed to test 15 build variation before I managed to beat it on abyss.

how much of skill inheritance sucking is caused because the demote pool is atrocious? i cannot stress enough that getting gen 1 units in 2023 is basically worthless unless they're your favorite. you're trying to get brave soren and you keep getting 3-4* beruka and arthurs- they're fine enough if you're willing to invest in them heavily, but for fodder? beruka is out here with Defiant Defense 3, arthur is out here with HP +5. hell most of the recent demotes are this bad too. and don't even get me started on the staff units. noting screams wasted money like a handful of clarine and sakura.

I think the problem isn't so much precedents only being available in 5*/seasonal units, but it is that everytime we get a 4* demote with a obsolete skill, it is wasting an opportunity (i.e. scatch having odd wave, phila having brazen atk/res, sylvain having spur atk/def, Karin having form and drive atk etc.). That makes the 4* that has them feel like chaff and thusly make it feel like there are less 4*s worth pulling and so it feels bloated with pointless units. More than refines/remixes I think there should be "retoolings" where they take 4* pool units and simply give them slightly better skills. For example, Retooled Marth being given atk/spd catch 3, Retooled roy being given Infantry nfollow up, etc.

Also the magic number imo of inheriteable skills should be 6, this way if there is a unit that has a couple tier 3 skills that another has the tier 4s, you could inherit both tier 3 precedents from the first unit as well as another unprecedented tier 4

It's safe to say they know about these issues but they just don't care

"Why would we increase the inheritance slots so you can get all the skills you want with one eitr when we can keep it the way it is so you pull for more"

It'd be cool if the Heroic Grails system were better ,or if there was a skill shop system. Needing to summon a character , that might be even better than the character you want the fodder from, is just stressful. We NEED SO mANY sLOTS juST TO tRAIN UP A chARACTeR RAAAh

That, and the SP skills should be made into sacred seals.

I really don't understand why they haven't increased the inheritance cap beyond 4 even though feh is now 6 years old. Then again this is the same developers that are too scared to give a weapon refine to surtr or Ophelia yet will happily refine cyl units ahead of anyone else that released during that book so clearly there's not much smarts to be found
