How about this:
Fury 3+ Quick Riposte 3 for Arena
Fury 3+ Vantage 3 for Tempest Trial

For someone who does not have Nephnee and B! Ike... any thoughts?

  Fury+QR for Arena will perform similar to Steady Breath build, but only for the first round. As I mentioned, though, you may only need one round. Also, you still need Quickened Pulse.
  Fury 3 Vantage will do well, too, but one thing to note is that you will hemorrhage HP, even with vantage, because of Fury. Also, like most units, that build will require backup in the later levels of Lunatic 7.

  My steady breath aether quick riposte black knight soloed infernal on a defensive tile, only needed a reposition and a dancer and he did all the rest of the work, so yes, black knight should easily be able to solo infernal even with other builds

My problem with life and death builds on bk is his 1 movement. Offensive armor characters have it quite hard getting into range to do their work and not be in threat range of something else detrimental to them. Often times you're put in range of reins, lyns, bridelias and the like who have no problem ripping into you after you've fought once. Distant counter units especially are far more suited to baiting, add his paltry movement speed onto that, and you can turn one of his only demerits into his entire gameplay strategy, easily getting retaliated upon.

  With only one movement, BK is very suited for baiting units. My experience with LaD BK is that he still has the bulk to carry on even after being initiated on. I should have mention that LaD is meant to be used in aggressive strategies, since if you continually let the enemy hit you first it's better to make sure you kill your opponent.

  Patrick Waddingham, L&D can still be considered a defensive boost as well because the extra speed also helps him not get doubled by a few more units.

L&D is perhaps an okay (in some cases) PvE build, but for the Arena you're generally going to want to have the SB build because it's better at baiting out ranged + dancer unit combos. You know like the ones that you can't risk getting too close to without sacrificing at least one unit, thus ruining your perfect arena score? I've had situations like that where I've ran myself into a corner, and that was with a horse team. It'd be even harder with an armored unit that can only move one space at a time.

  If you don't have a response to Reinhardt or BLyn in this meta, Black Knight isn't going to get the jump on them. Not only does he need a reposition/swap to reach them, but he will die to Reinhardt in particular. W/ LaD on Black Knight, you need to play very aggressively, which isn't always a possibility in Arena, especially if you have a team that relies on bait. One more reason why you need to be aware of the capabilities of the rest of the team you bring. Black Knight isn't always an island, and every build has it's weakness. Sadly, Reinhardt is how you spell that weakness regardless of build 😀 but still.

  Patrick Waddingham, no matter what you do the Black Knight isn't going to be countering Reinhardt, so I think it's safe to say that it's a good idea to have another unit on the team just to bait him out like either a DC Sheena or a +Res DC Amelia or Hector. That's is of course if you want to stick with having pure armor emblem, but of course there are plenty of other non-armor unit types that act as a Reinhardt check.

Not sure if this is good but my black knight has steady stance 3
Quick repost 3
Threaten 3
Swap
Black Luna
And possibly Panic ploy 1
Not sure if I should use him or my +SPD -HP ike
Also my team is brave lyn +SPD -ATK (still great)
Reposition
With her having her vanilla skills (and desperation)
And her S slot is quick repost
Preforming arts azura
(Neutral stats)
She has her her vanilla a slot with her weapon but I have her wings of mercy 3 and hone ATK 3
Also bunny lucina (+SPD -RES)
Vanilla A slot skill but with barrblade + and blue tone breaker with hone spd. She have reposition but will give her draw back. Her S slot is SPD+1
So idk what would be the best build for black knight because I don't have Brave ike but my sword ike has the fury 3
Vantage 3
Threaten SPD 3
With panic ploy 1
Swap
I'm more of a arena person so idk which sword unit would be better but I get really good defense points at 17 level at the moment so not sure if BK will do the same.

  BK will get your a few more points than Ike.
  In arena, I prefer using Ike simply because of the mobility, but you have enough reposition and dance to get BK where you need him to be, on most maps.

  J. Knipp Sounds good, but I dont have Linde. And I dont have double Black Knights anymore. I'm putting Robin: Fell Reincarnation in place of the second Black Knight.
  
  I also put Wrys on the team to heal them up should they get too beat up.

  Gregory Nicholas Hell yea! You got that King-Ding-a-Ling Robin!!! So lucky bro! I got an sick ass Alm build I'm working on. The only pain is keeping his ass at 100%hp. He destroys! 4x hits at times. But yeah thats sick you got Robin. Is Wrys as good as people say? I got a 5 star Mist as my only 5 star healer an she is pretty good.

  Gregory Nicholas Oh yea Greg you can do a similar big buff is you got Ninian, Marth has a weak ass boost but it does boost all stats so maybe you could double up with other stat boosters. Debuffing is cool an I have chill an smoke skills most of the time going but theres nothing like dominating with sick ass raw power. My Hector an Ike have ridiculous stats after being boosted, sorta like running a horse emblem all buffed out.

  J. Knipp Wrys is pretty beast when healing. You know how most Armor units have ridiculous amounts of HP and healing them is hard? Not with Wrys. He heals them when they get low and he basically gives them a 1-Up mushroom from Mario.
  
  I'm actually working on making Wrys really wicked in terms of AOE. Giving him Pain+ and Savage Blow in his C and Special slot. Good luck holding up to that

Warding breath seems like a much better idea bc of his absolutley horrible Res. And it seems most of us only got one Legendary Non-DC Ike. If he could of gotten a DC I think he would of stayed a much more used unit like his two counter parts. And his Black Luna is cool but his hard earned 750 Aether saves his ass on my game.

  He isn't going to get much milage out of Warding Breath over Steady Breath. But, most of what he defends against with Steady Breath is against some blue units -- and you arn't intentionally blocking them w/ BK so in practice it doesn't matter what Breath you give him.
  
  BK can really use an Aether, but Black Luna is just soooo darn powerful. Very few things can stand against it, and it's easy (even easier now) to build a BK that gets that on his every turn pratically. But, that's definately not TT or CC friendly 😀
