I predict Hope of Quel'Thalas will be buffed, like down to 4 mana or gaining an extra durability or something. As it is, doing nothing on your turn 6 but swinging with a weapon, even if it buffs all your minions, just feels way too slow. It's the same issue with Runed Mithril Rod, which is still a decent card but when it becomes your entire turn 5 play, you just lose way too much tempo playing it.

Also, like you said, +1/+1 buffs, even when it's on your deck/hand/board just isn't impactful enough. Both Invigorating Sermon and Sunken Gardens do that (albeit with more setup) and neither ever really see play. It's a nice effect, but not one you can generally afford to skip a turn you could be developing on board or removing threats.

"Hope of Quel'Thalas" isn't quite like "Invigorating Sermon", because that one specifies that it's minions on your board, your hand and deck, while "Hope of Quel'Thalas" says "wherever they are", which implies any summoned minions as well. Deathrattles, summons from spells (like the 2/1 bats that can be buffed to 3/3), etc.

Which makes it much better. Imagine, after activating Tavish' Hero card, every Huffer, Misha and Leokk having +2/+2. Along with anything else you may summon, etc.

Do those souls from the scythe always discover the 3 minions? So you can basically have 3 copies of a single legendary in your deck?

One minor correction. "Wherever they are" is strictly better than "hand, deck, and battlefield" because the former affects any generated cards. Any token generators become incredibly powerful.

if you set off the rotten rodent, does that mean you can discount the kobold illusionist back to pre-nerf cost and pull it via sketchy information? i loved seeing tiny rogue pull giant neptulons and ragnaroses on turn 4 or 5.
