I hate that they gave Druid so many armor cards. I feel that was a huge problem in the past that druid could easily stack up more armor than warriors and you couldn't really kill them, even with strong combo decks. Healing would be way better to play around.

So, in the lore of Warcraft and Wrath of the Lich King, the nerubians were a race of spider creatures on Northrend that were originally immune to the necrotic disease of the Lich King but somehow died to a more powerful version of the disease and became undead puppets. (Whether they were zombified sometime while Nerzhul was in control or only after Arthas took the armor is something I do not know.) Hence why we have nerubian cards both past and present, especially cards like Anub'Rekhan and Anhb'Arak, gaining the undead "tribe" this expansion. You'd think that they wouldn't be since they still have eggs that can hatch, but I guess they can still reproduce unlike the fellow, flesh-rotten undead humanoids and dragons in the army of the frozen throne.

Also, slight nitpick on the pronunciation of "chitinous" but understandable since how often does that kinda word come up in conversation :P. The "ch" is pronounced hard like a "k". The only reason I know this is because of Mortal Kombat and the recent addition of D'vorah to the kast (intentional spelling error). She is a member of the Kytine (I think that's the spelling) race, which is essentially a hivemind of bug-like creatures and people that are actually hiveminds of even hundreds/thousands more insects. (Don't ask how a hivemind individual can be part of a larger hivemind yet still have some modicum of sentience and free will cuz I have no idea.) But yeah, that's your double lore and English lesson for the day.

  Not up to date on World of WarCraft lore, but in WarCraft III, the Nerubians were immune to the plague so Ner'zhul had to defeat them in the 'War of the Spider' with Dreadlords and the nascent Scourge. He then raised their corpses through standard necromancy, which is why there are Nerubian undead, but there are still some living Nerubians as well. Anub'arak was one of the Nerubian kings killed in that war and reanimated by Ner'zhul.

expension looks like a preperation of rotation for all existance classes, like all hero cards going to be out of rotation. i think we can expect like more otk stuffs for mage, or outcast stuffs which can playable with other archatypes.

Nerubians are in fact those spider things, they're descendent of the Old God's insectoid minions. They can also be raised into undeath though. Most fell to Arthas prior to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

I think the nerubian cards are more undead by association and consistency with the set itself rather then lore reasons as undead nerubians have the more traditional grey shades compared to these very alive Coloured ones, basically blizzard just lumped them all in as it's unlikely we will get a specific "nerubians matter" deck since they are only involved with northrend ie: lich king then anything else since they are the only one of the black empire races who stopped worshipping the old gods.

though it is strange they chose living nerubians since their not big fans of the undead from memory
