The Sigma Orisa nerfs have settled in, Doomfist Weaker, Tracer and Roadhog stronger, but have we really moved the tank meta? Well... that depends what rank you're at. Thanks to the shielding power of Orisa Sigma being weaker at ranks where their cooldowns weren't being landed for value, tank skillshots akin to skillshot DPS, you won't be getting as much value as a straightforward teamwork based tank. However, at the highest levels where the Orisa Sigma combo are actualized in power, their shields wasn't their only strength and with smarter management, it's their offense that leaves them at the top of the meta, but should that skill be rewarded? Is this the distribution we'd want to see out of a skillshot tank? To change the top meta Blizzard is going to have to make some seriously difficult decisions, either to lean into power creep potentially cementing easy characters being top meta, or perhaps a huge power creep nerf to stablize and simplify the game yet again, which may make it harder to play overall, but probably more enjoyable and rewarding.
