The BIG barrier rework on the PTR was expected to come this week, but since it didn’t, it appears most likely that it will be put inside a big Winter Patch in the Winter Wonderland 2019 event. That should come in 1-2 weeks along with the regular additions of skins. The other major Overwatch news was the Chipsa signing to the Overwatch League. Jayne criticized nepotism and unfair nature of the signing, but really, regardless of how you feel about that specific point, the whole ordeal spawned a bigger issue about systemic problems with OWL and the tier two path to pro (path to poverty) leading into the Overwatch League (or rather, most often not). Jayne probably was a bit messy in this criticism, as it doesn’t really fit all too well in this case, but the underlying problems in general definitely do deserve attention.
