A couple of days ago, Blizzard help a Reddit AMA where they talked a lot about the future for Overwatch and Overwatch 2. One thing they talked a lot about was the possibilities of heroes switching roles. Things like Mei becoming a tank, Roadhog being a DPS hero, and Symmetra going back to support were mentioned. This video talks about if those possibilities need to come into Overwatch 2 to make it a distinctly different game compared to the previous version.
