The END of LOOT BOXES in Overwatch!

It was just announced that the end of loot boxes in Overwatch will be September 14, a few weeks before Overwatch 2. Today's video talks about why this is happening, and what microtransactions will look like in Overwatch 2!

Tbh, I think battle passes like Fortnite ironically are pretty good, by that I mean:

1). The battle pass is buyable without paying at all, every time a new battle pass comes out

2). The battle pass only gives cosmetic changes

3). You need to play 20-30 maximum hours to get to the max rank in the battle pass

4). You gain more currency from every premium battle pass, assuming you get all the ranks (for example buying the premium battle pass costs 750 currency, and you gain 1000 currency from the premium battle pass

I know this may sound like a lot, but these are the things I like to see in a battle pass, and if the battle pass is different, I'll still play ow2, but I'll be less happy about it

I really dont like battlepasses because I have a little bit of FOMO. And whilst I don't buy any of those because skins aren't worth money to me it still doesnt feel good.

I have over a thousand loot boxes. I don’t open them because they are only dupes. Once a new event comes around like the one happening now, I open the new event ones. I even hoarded event loot boxes as I played during events I already unlocked all the new skins so I accumulated more as I just played more and more Overwatch. I even have the legendary loot boxes. Not only do I have over a thousand of loot boxes I also have thousands of in game currency.. (almost 98,000) so I could just buy all the skins anyway. But I always prefer to get them in the new loot boxes I earn during an event. It’s dumb but It sort of gives me more reason to play. That’s just how I’ve been doing it. Well now I’m just curious what my currency is going to be once they automatically open my loot boxes.

Basically now in ow2 if you wanna get almost every item, you're gonna have to spend money. I really hate that, Id rather just buy the game and be able to earn it all by playing the game.
