Brig Ultimate REWORK and Support Buffs... Overwatch 2 Dev Talks

Overwatch 2 season 2 support buffs so far have been very weak. However, the lead balance dev has spoken to Brig receiving an ultimate rework int he future and new support heroes are coming, which they hope will help more people play the support role.

What about my boy Zen? Worst survivability on all the supports by a long shot, such an easy target for really anyone. Maybe he could gain a mini transcendence that only affects him for a couple seconds on a 15 second CD to allow him to reposition as a nice panic button. Maybe a little health buff, or a hit box change, or a higher move speed or something! Especially with them wanting to buff tracer and the recent Doom buffs

They are absolutely clueless. They have no idea what to do with support.

I watched a video once explaining the type of person plays certain roles and why.
Boils down to, most people like to show off and are just selfish and want to see big damage numbers and don't hello others. This is so true in a lot of games that have some kind of support healing mechanic.
DPS in Overwatch is so bad. As a mercy main I get ganked on do much, because the tank fly's off without no care in the world and DPS have their own agenda, which leaves me exposed to attack and to make hard choices in who gets heals.
And then they cry for heals because they have put themselves in a impossible position.

Bottom line is, people won't pick support because it's boring and people don't want to help others.

I cant believe Mercy has that high if a winrate in gm, her kit has a significant lack of strength compared to any other main healer, most comparatively baptise with better primary healing, better damage, damage and healing at the same time, immortality field is abailable far more often, and a second healing ability that's one of the only burst healing skills in the game, and only sacrifices horizontal mobility to get all that. he's also an incredible duelist because of lamp alone, which makes him very difficult to assassinate

The sentiment I'm seeing is coming from the DPS that they won't EVER be fucking happy until the supports are lambs for the slaughter. Ana's dart gets targeted by low rate players who don't know how to dodge it, or get their ults shut down because a good ana knows how to hit her target. Hitting a dart takes a lot of skill. Honestly? It feels like the Devs are completely out of touch with support players.
