I stopped playing entirely, until I can acquire skins I want in a reasonable amount of play time and have some sort of progression system added back to the game there is no reason to play

Elo hell is real, the fact that MY PERFORMANCE doesn't reflect my rank is so stupid.
I'm stuck in plat, but I win a hell of a lot more than lose since I can carry some level of stupid at this rank, easy comp coins, get the last gold gun I want then I'll just dip.
It's legit crazy how even I when out perform everyone else in the same role, get a 7 win streak and play super well, my rank goes from plat 5 to plat 5. So dumb.

From what I've seen in this comment section, not one person knows what they actually want. So should MMR be based around stats, or should it be based around wins? Same thing with rank, I can win X amount of games where my performance wasn't great, get to a higher rank, and start bringing my team down with my lacking game-sense, or should it be based around my stats solely? How can performance be measured? Should they bring the old comp system, which acts almost exactly the same with the satisfaction/dissatisfaction of seeing your numbers go up and down?

Excited to see if these matchmaker changes improve the quality of matches. I’m sick and tired of one sided games in comp because it’s not fun and it just makes me want to quit playing the game.

As for the competitive system changes, I think Blizzard dropped the ball on this and are completely delusional if they think this the kind of change we were looking for. The reality is, there was nothing wrong with the old OW1 comp system but they made changes just for the sake of making changes and it broke the game because the new comp system they implemented into OW2 is idiotic.

THEY NEED TO SHOW US OUR SR AND WE NEED UPDATES AT THE END OF EACH GAME!

This new system, even with these upcoming changes in season 3 is designed for people who don’t want/like to play competitive games and it’s driving those of us who do want a competitive experience away. I’m all for casual players logging on and getting to enjoy this game but that’s what quick play and arcade are for, NOT COMP.

I know Blizzard has stated they don’t want to go back to the old OW1 system but if they want to maintain the integrity of the game and keep players invested, they need to.

Bring back placements at the start of every season! It’s a standard of competitive gaming that every other game out there has and it would eliminate issues they’re having when players leave the game and come back months later.

They also need to bring back rank icons at the start of the match so we can see the breakdown of ranks on each team. We need to see our SR after EVERY match and get an update after EVERY match.

I’ve been playing OW since it launched and its disheartening to watch Blizzard is doing to the game and the community. I was hopeful for the season 3 changes but it’s just not enough and if Blizzard can’t get it together soon and actually make meaningful change based on the community feedback that comes from the players they’re so desperate to keep invested, it’ll reach a point where it’ll be too late and players will just move on to something else

The problem is that Blizzard had to change things just for the sake of changing things to justify putting a 2 behind the release. But this meant doing new things in place of systems that had been conceptualized and refined for several years. I personally like the new 5v5 flow of the game, but almost everything else beyond that is simply worse because it was change for the sake of change, not improvement. There's no big sense of progress and excitement, we went from loot boxes to the worst battle pass that the industry has seen and have been given this confusing and almost actively demotivating new rank system. The problem isn't just that they're bad systems as they are, but that it all was put in place of the superior systems of OW 1. Truly feels like the ultimate and sad result of decision making that focuses purely on the bottom line over player enjoyment.
