Sombra nerfs suck ass. Why cant she have a get out of jail card like Tracer? She doesnt deal anywhere as much dmg. Devs ruined that character big time, she aint a hacker anymore just an underwhelming, overcomplicated dps

Ok first as sombra main the changes is mostly aim for lower skilled players or players that camp a health pack when the fight happen on the pack or they don't trust they dupports. The translocator change and more damage just frost also to play the harder skill ceiling agreesive play style but will the damage be enoughtt to make it worth being suck in one play style, also will we still be able to cancel translocator since if we can't once we throw it to try to escape the enemy can just track it. One of my favorite thing to do was throw trans behind my enemy and as they turn aroind I just go invisible and ditch. Also why the hell is are movement speed getting nerf I see no reason for that to be nerf it not like we're were faster character even why invisble. Also I understand why the out nerf the aggressive play style does get out charge faster but I think the nerf was too much. And one last thing what if we only one on objective will be froce to keep shooting or wasting a cooldown also I feel lile a lot of use are going get hit by the stealth animation on mid combat when after reloading or we are ducking in and out of cover

I'll say as a big overwatch cynic, i like this, not so much that the changes are good or anything because i frankly don't know. But like how Blizzard is making an actual rework, not just changing one ability or move some stats around, they're changing every oart of her to make her play quite differently

As a ball main I'm liking the new Sombra changes . She will still be a soft counter for ball which is fair , but no longer a character used to solo piss off ball players

The translocator change has me the most concerned honestly. As someone who's been playing and loving Sombra since the beginning, I don't see a world where 0.25 seconds after throwing makes sense for an auto activation ability. Given how fast it currently goes. So it either knows to activate upon landing or interacting or it just does it on its own when it feels like? It seems unclear, because it always has to land at some point, but if this is the case, will I no longer be able to toss it up in the air and translocate at the peak to chase a Pharah or just get an edge on some unsuspecting player?

In other words, it seems a bit limiting. Why not just bring back the timer instead? When she released, you had something like 16 seconds to re-activate before you lost it. That combined with her move speed buff in stealth made her play style actually aggressive in ways you couldn't before. I said when perma stealth was added, it ruined her, and broke her even. I still stand by it. The move speed even makes more sense now that it's not activatable, and if you gave an reactivation timer on her translocator again, you'd force her to have to engage and commit to get value before jumping back and/or given how long the duration is, you probably remove her ability to just stalk the back lines and sit doing nothing too.

Anyways, I'll give it a shot. Putting upfront damage on her is expected, as Overwatch has been in damage creep for a while. Things like this have been expected and why tanks are kind of becoming difficult to play, which I don't agree with, but here we are. Overall I'm eager to try but hesitant based on what I have read and heard, that this will be a smooth transition. I expect several updates over time, before they "get it right" if they even do before reverting back, like they've been doing with other characters.

The only thing that i unchangably dislike the rework for is the "cant activate translocator yourself" part, the other things sound really bad but can work if implemented well

Like actually, thanks for giving us an ability that telegraphs exactly where well be in a second without any way of changing it, letting us tp beforehand at least gives us *some* agency but this? Idk about that
