Picks like Winston are FAR better in Ranked, because unlike the pros, your enemies in ranked often aren't picking the top meta dps and supports, opening up space for him to get massive value. Pharah flies overhead and ignores barriers, Roadhog can flank or contest Doomfist and Brigitte can do something similar.
