Thanks for the guide! I've been trying out Gunner and so far it hasn't really clicked for me, but I hadn't realized that you're supposed to play the class at point blank range basically. I think i've been too overly reliant on the spammy full auto burst ability to build up my chain trigger and playing too passively at longer ranges.

  No problem glad i was able to help you out! Yeah critical ranges are kind of an obscure mechanic in the game (Wired Lance has it for example where you have to be in medium range). I noticed a lot of gunners using bullet rave from across the world, so I decided to make this follow up video to my other Gunner guides/Discussions to help people out!

what are your thoughts on gunner's solo gameplay? i'm mostly talking about tackling gigantix/UQ solo if you have tried it already. i don't see any gunners showcasing this kind of playstyle nor do i barely see any in-game, so it's really hard to gauge how gunner is performing vs everyone else in this scenario.

  In terms of solo gameplay, pretty much on the same level of Fighter Twin Daggers in 1v1 vs Gigantix/UQ solo. Only downside is in comparison to fighter, Gunner's a little bit more clunky since you don't have access to a gap closer, but bullet rave allows you to keep uptime 24/7 as you get into the crit range (which is pretty large on Gigantix/UQ solo).
  
  Overall, if you get good at using point blank and stay in critical range, Point blank only has 52 frames of active and you can cancel midway through. It's very easy to upkeep strike back + point blank damage while also using Stylish Roll (WA+PA hold) to get really high consistent damage.
  
  Tl;dr Same performance as Fighter TD, but honestly more work to get your damage out.

May I ask what is the info on the boost for being close range? I know base pso has those close combat boost in the skill tree. But NGS I don't see them anywhere yet.

  Hi Hi! It's a mechanic in NGS called "Critical Range", it affects certain weapons in the game such as: Rifle, Wired Lance, Twin Machine Guns. When your reticle changes colors to orange, you're in your peak critical range. It's a kinda obscure mechanic, but it does force certain weapons to be in a specific range.

  Lists stylish onslaught spam as 225 DPS total vs point blank's 238.
  
  Usually I end up using stylish onslaught to go through attacks, and charged point blank into chain building back to 100 for the PB Finisher spam. Hope that helps you out!

  Yeah I'm not sure if SEGA fixed the CT bug yet? It happened approximately once every like 60-70 CTs for me. But other than that, the class is super playable I'd definitely pick it up once that CT bug is fixed though just to make sure you don't randomly drop chain boost.
